When Does Halo Infinite Season 2 Drop? New Maps, Modes, Season Pass and More

After weeks of waiting, Halo Infinite Season 2 is finally about to drop on May 3. The game will go into maintenance at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET/ 6 PM BST on that day and the servers will go back online in an hour. Players will be able to access all of the new content at 11 AM PT/ 2 PM ET / 6 PM BST which includes new modes, a brand-new season pass, new maps, and more. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming Halo Infinite Season 2 content drop.

Halo Infinite Season 2: Battle Pass

The new battle pass will feature 100 tiers of unlockable cosmetic rewards. There will be both a free and paid tier just like the first season. Some details about the Season 2 Battle Pass have already been revealed with Halo Infinite players set to receive better rewards moving forward.

The new battle pass will cost 1000 premium currency if you want to opt for the premium variant. Unlike other games, the battle pass does not expire once you purchase it. You can take as much time as you want to complete all of the challenges and level it up for all the rewards. The new pass will have a Lone Wolves theme featuring more Reach-inspired cosmetics that can be unlocked by completing challenges.

Halo Infinite Season 2: New Modes

The new season will feature the Last Spartan Standing and Land Grab Modes. King of the Hill is also getting some changes heading into Season 2. The reworked King of the Hill mode will not rely on a timer. Instead, players have to fill control meters to earn points.

The new Land Grab mode is a team versus team mode where teams capture zones to earn points. If a team captures all three zones, all zones reset. The first team to secure 11 points in a match is awarded a win in the new mode.

In Last Spartan Standing, players enter a 12-player battle royale mode with five respawns each. To win, you need to be the last player standing.

Halo Infinite Season 2: New Maps

Season 2 will also introduce two new maps. ‘Breaker’ is meant for Big Team Battle and it features a desert aesthetic with giant fortresses. The other map coming to the game in Season 2 is ‘Catalyst’, which is inspired by Halo 5 and Halo 3 maps. The symmetrical design and large area make it one of the most interesting arena maps in the game.

Aside from all of the new content, the Forge open beta will go live sometime in the second half of Season 2. 343 Industries has not revealed any specifics about the beta just yet but players can expect a full release of Forge by September 2022. The current Halo Infinite roadmap also features a campaign network co-op which is expected to go live by August 2022.
