Three beginner/low elo tips to improve and climb in Valorant
Valorant is a very complex FPS video game that consists of many important aspects such as aiming, utility, communication, setups, etc. Although it is a team game, there are thighs you can work on that will help you climb over time, regardless of your teammates.
Keep in mind that no magic solution will instantly make you Diamond, and you need to work on your game and improve over time. However, we are here to help you shorten the process and let you know what to focus on so you get out of Silver asap.
Play only one or two Agents
Valorant has a lot of fun Agents you can choose from, and many of them are very fun to play. However, if you play a different Agent every game, the chances are your learning progress of each Agent is going to be very slow. If you play only one Agent, you will learn its mechanics much faster.
Knowing the Agent you are controlling very well will put you at a sizeable advantage, and the only way to achieve Agent proficiency is simply to play it a lot. Even pro players usually main one or two Agents, knowing that practice makes perfect.
It may seem boring and repetitive, but it will put you on the right track 100%. Choose an Agent you like the most and that suits your playstyle and play it for a while. Be creative, test the Agent's limits, and learn how to use its abilities properly. Improvement is guaranteed if you take the task seriously and try to learn and improve every game.
Good communication is key
We can't emphasize enough how important comms are in Valorant. Tell your teammates what you think, see, and hear. Initiate conversation, even if your teammates don't really want to talk. As you climb the ladder, you will encounter more and more good players who will appreciate your good comms and cooperate.
Valorant is a team game and requires teamwork by default. Sharing info with your teammates can be the difference between winning and losing a round. Sova Drone into the enemy site is useless if you don't share the info you gathered with your teammates.
However, not all comms are good comms and always try to stay cool-headed if things are going south. Don't insult your teammates, and try to encourage them instead. You will tilt them even more and probably make them play even worse, reducing your chances of winning even further.
Practice Aim
This one seems obvious, but a lot of players(especially in low elo) don't put any focus on improving their aim. Although your aim can improve just by playing the game, you can boost it through designated aim training.
There are plenty of ways to efficiently practice your aim, including the shooting range, playing Deathmatches, or third-party sites such as Aimlabs. Try to make a habit of practicing aim and warming up for 10-15 minutes every time before you queue up. It will make a huge difference once in the game.
Also, practice one tapping, bursting, and spraying with different weapons to learn their damage and how they behave. Every weapon has different recoil when shooting, and learning how to control it properly is extremely important in FPS titles such as Valorant.
