Pizza Hut Champions Cup: Event Recap
Pizza Hut Champions Cup finals have come to a close. Eight teams from the MENA region qualified for the online Valorant tournament with a $15000 prize pool. In the Grand Final, Team Rapid defeated YaLLa Esports 2-0 and took home the trophy.
After an online circuit featuring teams from Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates, eight teams qualified for the final event. Over nine days of competition, the best teams in the region squared off in a best-of-three elimination bracket.
Team Rapid won the Pizza Hut Champions Cup by defeating YaLLa Esports with a score of 2:0 (Ascent - 13:8; Haven - 13:9).
Team Rapid's fr1 was a star of the show with his two outstanding Raze performances. He dropped 25 frags on Ascent and 27 on Haven to claim the MVP and bring home the trophy alongside $7000.
On their path to victory, Team Rapid defeated 01 Esports and vSlash Esports with a 2:1 score. YaLLa Esports finished the cup second and earned themselves $5000.
In a tight match for third place and $3000, vSlash Esports defeated Team Falcons 2-1. After their semifinal loss to the eventual champions Team Rapid, they bounced back with a consolation victory.
