Oceanic Regional Finals Recap
The Oceanic Regional Finals concluded during the weekend and the two representatives of the region were decided following an intense 3-day event. Tamura77 and Auroraxt managed to take down their opposition and finish first and second during the last day of the event, giving them a worlds spot for the upcoming championship.
Event recap
The first day began with 128 players playing 6 games with lobbies being reseeded every 2 games. Top 64 players qualified for the second day. The second day began with 64 players playing 6 games with lobbies being reseeded every 2 games. The top 32 players remaining advanced to the last day of the tournament, where the victor was decided. The remaining players played 6 games with lobbies being reseeded every 2 games.
While the matches in the first two days were quite close, Tamura77 and Auroraxt managed to distance themselves from their opposition during the last day with at least 4 point difference following their strong performances.
The World Championship will take place during the weekend of Nov. 18 to Nov. 20 where the world championship of set 7 will be crowned. Players across all regions will battle for share of the lion's prize pool and the title of a world champion.
