Call of Duty League 2022 - Pro-Am Final Recap

Here is what went down in the final three games of the event.

LA Thieves 3 - 1 OpTic Texas (Semi-Final)

Both OpTic Texas and LA Thieves performed well throughout the Pro-Am event and when it boiled down to the semi-finals, one of the juggernauts would have to bow out of the event. As soon as the matchup kicked off, LA Thieves put on a dominant performance on Berlin and secured a 250-178 Hardpoint win. Former Optic player Envoy completely dismantled his former team with a cool 33 kills to his name

OpTic bounced back from the first map defeat with a 6-1 win on Bocage. Both teams traded blows in Gavutu and Tuscan but it was LA Thieves that managed to narrowly edge past OpTic in both matches and ended with a 3-1 victory.

New York Subliners 3 - 1 Toronto Ultra (Semi-Final)

At the semi-finals, New York Subliners were in peak form. Since the time Kismet joined the roster, the team has been unstoppable. The matchup kicked off on Bocage, which is arguably the strongest map for New York Subliners. Toronto Ultra surprisingly chose not to ban the map and paid the price with the New York team securing a victory off the bat. Desert Siege was a completely different story with Toronto Ultra securing a 6-1 victory over New York Subliners. Ultra’s Bance was in peak form and he showed no mercy as he singlehandedly dismantled New York Subliners. But his heroics were met with solid team play and New York Subliners managed to win two matches on Tuscan back to back and took home a 3-1 victory and a spot at the grand final.

New York Subliners 3 - 1 LA Thieves (Grand Final)

The final matchup of the night started with LA Thieves securing an early win. The team destroyed Subliners 250-85 and it looked like LA was out for revenge. But NYSL had other plans in mind with the team securing three back-to-back map wins on Tuscan, Gavutu, and Tuscan.

The Pro-Am was a great event to fill the gap between the second and third majors of the CDL 2022 season and New York Subliners are looking like one of the strongest teams to watch out for heading into the next major.
