Dragonlands Mid-Set Finale Recap

The competitive scene of set 7 has concluded with the Mid-Set Finale that happened during the weekend. The competition was fierce with the top 32 players from North America battling each other for bragging rights and a share of the $20,000 prize pool.

The players battled from Aug 19 to Aug 21 after qualifying via Astral Cup, Jade Cup, and qualifier points. They played 6 games with lobbies being reseeded every 2 games. Following the point distribution from the first day, the top 16 advanced to the second day. After a similar format in the second day, the top 8 advanced to the final day of the event.

Mid-Set Finale event recap

The competition was fierce with the best 8 players in North America displaying great skill and flexibility in their games. However, one particular player that managed to showcase consistent gameplay was Amde, finishing top 4 in 4 out of 6 games and ending the day with 37 points, becoming the set 7 champion.

Amde earned $6,000, a direct spot for the upcoming World Championship later this year, and a spot for the Dragonlands NA Regional Finals. Bertasaurus, Clear, and MD Pockygom earned a spot for the upcoming Dragonlands NA Regional Finals alongside cash prizes.
