The final eight teams of the Call of Duty Pro-Am Classic were confirmed after the pool play round on day two. CDL Pro-Am Classic Day 2 Recap

On the second day of the Call of Duty League Pro-Am Classic, the amateur teams managed to put on memorable performances but the CDL teams proved that they are a cut above the rest. Despite the amateurs’ best efforts, the single-elimination bracket will feature eight pro teams.

Ultra Academy NA was on the top of its game after taking out Boston Breach and pulling off some insane comebacks in some of the maps it played in. The team eventually succumbed to a 3-1 loss against Paris Legion, which meant that the team is heading home after a tough tiebreaker. Strike X was the other amateur team that left a mark after securing a 3-1 victory against Seattle Surge. With more opportunities coming their way, we want to see more of the amateur teams and find out what they are capable of.

Here are the final eight teams that qualified for bracket play:

  • Atlanta FaZe
  • OpTic Texas
  • Boston Breach
  • LA Thieves
  • New York Subliners
  • Paris Legion
  • Florida Mutineers
  • Toronto Ultra

With the group stage now over, the eight teams are now in a do-or-die situation. There are no second chances and there are no losers brackets. The teams will have to make every match count if they want to secure the championship.

With $250,000 on the line, New York Subliners is looking like the team to watch out for. NY Subliners secured a clean 4-0 in the group stage after beating London Royal Ravens, LA Thieves, and Team WaR. the team ended with an aggregate of 12-2 and 10 points in the bracket, a feat no other team could match in any group.

While it is unfortunate that all the amateur teams are now out of the event, we are impressed by the performances of Ultra Academy NA, Ultra Academy EU, Team WaR, and Strike X. All four teams performed well with Ultra Academy NA and Strike X putting on some really memorable performances.
