CDL 2022 Pro-Am Classic: Top Three Games
Ultra Academy NA 3 - 2 LA Guerillas
Ultra Academy NA is the winner of the Minnesota Open and if any team could match up to the CDL teams, it was them. The event kicked off with LA Guerillas securing a 250-162 win on Tuscan. Huke was at his peak with an insane 34 kills to his name and things were looking like it would be a stroll in the park for LA Guerillas. But Ultra Academy NA had other plans and turned things around.
In Ultra’s Control game, the team secured a 3-1 win with Scrappy completely destroying LA Guerillas with 41 kills to his name and a whopping 1.95 K/D. After the best-of-five series ended, it was Ultra Academy NA standing tall with a 3-2 victory.
Atlanta FaZe 3 - 1 Seattle Surge
Atlanta Faze kicked things off with a 3-1 win against Seattle Surge. While it was not exactly a stroll in the park for FaZe, Cellium absolutely dominated the matchup with a whopping 101 kills. He was ahead of everyone else in the lobby and showed no signs of stopping.
Tuscan was a closely fought victory with FaZe securing a 250-224 victory. Desert Siege on the other hand was a clean 6-0 in Seattle’s favor. It looked like Seattle wanted to settle the score but FaZe refused to budge and won the next two matches on Berlin back to back in Control and Hardpoint.
OpTic Texas 3 - 1 Ultra Academy EU
OpTic Texas kicked things off in style with iLLeY returning to the squad after a break. But it was Dashy who stole the show with 87 kills and an impressive 1.74 K/D. Unfortunately, iLLeY had to be replaced by General due to a thumb injury.
Day One ended with the CDL teams outperforming the amateur teams from the Minessota Open with Ultra Academy NA being the only team that managed to stand up to the might of the Call of Duty League teams.
