Who Should You Support at the Pro-Am Classic Event?
If you don’t already have a favorite team that you are rooting for in the upcoming event, here are our top picks who you can support:
Ultra Academy NA
Ultra Academy is the winner of the Minnesota Open event. The amateur team is going up against some of the best CDL teams for the first time. If you want to root for the underdogs and want to see an amateur team go up against the big boys, this is the team to root for.
Los Angeles Guerrillas
The LA Guerrillas wrote the comeback story for the ages after making its way from the loser’s round all the way to the grand final and winning against Atlanta FaZe. The Major 2 champions had a lot of close shave encounters in Major 2 and the Pro-Am event sets the perfect stage for the team to prove to the world that their Major 2 win was not an accident.
Atlanta FaZe
FaZe is currently the most dominant team in Call of Duty esports and is arguably the safest bet if you want to support a team at the upcoming event. The team won the 2021 playoffs and three majors last year, making FaZe one of the most successful teams out there right now.
CDL Pro-Am Classic Schedule and Format
The event will kick off on May 5th with the group stage and it will end with the grand finals on May 8th.
12 out of the 16 teams are from the Call of Duty League and four teams are from the Minnesota Open. Each group will feature three CDL teams along with one CDC team. The group stage will feature a round-robin format with two teams making it out of the groups for the single-elimination bracket playoffs for the quarter-finals, semis, and grand final.
