Breach Agent Guide
Breach is a Swedish bionic Initiator Agent who uses his explosive abilities to disrupt the battleground. He is one of the oldest Agents in Valorant, as he was playable way back in open beta.
As an Initiator, Breach has a job to create space for his team when contesting a particular area of the map, such as entering a bomb site. While some Initiators excel at gaining information on enemies, Breach uses crowd control to push enemies back and clear corners from safety.
Breach Ability Guide
Signature Ability - Fault Line: Breach equips a seismic blast. He sets off the quake, dazing all players in its zone and in a line up to the zone. You can increase the distance of the impact by holding fire button.
Q - Flashpoint: Breach equips a blinding charge. When fired, it sets fast-acting burst through the wall. The charge detonates to blind all players looking at it.
C - Aftershock: Breach equips a fusion charge. When fired, it sets a slow-acting burst through the wall. The burst does heavy damage to anyone caught in its area.
Ultimate Ability - Rolling Thunder: Breach sends a cascading quake through all terrain in a large cone. The quake dazes and knocks up anyone caught in it.
How to play Breach
Your primary goal when playing Breach is to support your teammates when entering or retaking a site. Since his abilities have a sizeable delay from when you cast them to when you can shoot, you ideally want to follow your allies rather than be the one rushing in.
His stuns and flashes are very powerful and impactful; however, they can sometimes be obvious and easily countered. For that reason, it is crucial to coordinate them with your team and follow them up with peeks by you or your teammates.
Aftershock is a perfect ability to clear tight corners and make enemies move away from an angle. You want to pay attention to how you use your flashes and switch them up frequently to avoid being predictable.
Rolling Thunder is one of the most impactful Ultimate abilities in Valorant. It can fully cover some bomb sites and help your team have an easy way in.
When defending, try to react to what Attackers do. If you see them going through a choke, your abilities can be deadly for them, or at least delay the push and slow them down. Since Breach excels at site entries when attacking, he is excellent at retakes when defending.
Team compositions and position in the meta
Initiator role is very competitive in Valorant nowadays. With the introduction of Fade, there are many viable options when playing the position. When it comes to Breach, he is usually a situational pick, depending on the map and team composition.
Breach is usually a must-pick on tight maps like Fracture and not really good on spacious maps like Breeze. Also, Breach usually works best in a double-Initiator team composition paired up with an Initiator with recon abilities like Sova.
